Remedial Massage is a treatment modality that manipulates the soft tissues of the body including movement for a specific therapeutic effect, rather than a general therapeutic effect. It uses relevant techniques, lubricants and movements according to the client’s needs and response. This leads to the healing process, which begins at the cellular level aiding soft tissues in repairing, restoring functional integrity and adapting back to health.

The aim of physiotherapy is to help restore the body's normal function and movement in cases of illness, surgery, injury and disability and can be used to manage a variety of conditions that affect the bones, joints, nerves and soft-tissues.

Physiotherapy treatments at Reach for Health are offered by PhysioPlus; Chartered Physiotherapists who specialise in the treatment of all musculoskeletal related conditions.
All the physiotherapists are highly trained and qualified; some with over 30 years experience, and take pride in the individual, patient-oriented service they provide.  They do this by taking a whole person approach to health, fitness and wellbeing and their aim is to work with you (the client) to create a treatment programme that is individually tailored to meet your own specific needs.

Acupuncture has been used for thousands of years.  It works on the principle of Qi (pronounced "chee").  This is the life force or vital energy which flows throughout the body.  This flow of Qi can be disrupted by things such as cold, diet, trauma and hereditary factors.

Fine needles are inserted into specific points on the body to help correct the flow of Qi. Acupuncture is a very safe treatment.  The needles are sterile and disposable after single use.  Acupuncture treatments are carried out at Reach for Health by Julie Neal MBAcC, BSc Hons, Dip Ac, RGN.  Julie is a fully qualified and very experienced Acupuncturist who has been in practice since 1997.  She is a fully insured member of the British Acupuncture Council.
